Introducing one of our Sponsors! Meet Monique Stinson
Meet Monique Stinson! Monique Stinson is a licensed social worker and Certified Family
Court Mediator. She obtained her Bachelor in Social Work (BSW) degree
from Auburn University and her Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from
the University of South Carolina. Monique is Licensed as an Independent
Social Worker - Clinical Practice (LISW-CP). She has current experience
with individuals during their incarceration and certified as a
Correctional Health Professional (CCHP). She also works with individuals
and family in crisis. She has worked as a Clinical Counselor at the
Charleston Center in both the Women's Intensive Outpatient &
juvenile drug court programs. She continues to provide drug and alcohol
education when needed. She has also worked at the Cannon Street YMCA
and the Father to Father Project as a parenting coordinator before
venturing off to open her own small business. Previously she counseled
Individual and Families at Oasis Christian Counseling in Moncks Corner.
Additionally, Monique has experience with adjunct instructing for The
New School University, Springfield College and Trident Technical
College, as well as academic advising with Coastline Community and
Excelsior Colleges.
This vast experiences over the past 20 years has also given Monique a chance to participate in social work activities on a national level.

Meet one of our judges, Rick Rice!
As
you know, we are bringing back our baking competition. This year we
have three categories: Best Tasting, Best Decorated and Best Holiday
theme. Meet Rick Rice, from Palmetto Brewing, one of our three judges!
A native of Buffalo, NY, Rick Rice attended Gannon University in Erie, PA, where he graduated with a B.A. in Communication Arts, and entered into the world of broadcasting. Prior to moving to Charleston to assume the role of Location Manager at Palmetto Brewing Company, the previous 18 years had seen him in Asheville, NC, managing two properties for iHeart Media. As Program Director for WROO in Greenville, SC, and WQNS in Asheville, Rick worked closely with the craft beer community, partnering with the Asheville Brewers Alliance on multiple efforts including Asheville Beer Week.
While working with individual breweries, Rick launched several efforts, including theBehind the Tap video series, Beer-of-the-Month promotion, and Taproom Tour on-location broadcast events.
Rick has also worked for several sports organizations as a public address announcer, including the Southern Conference Basketball Tournament, UNC Asheville Basbetball, three professional hockey teams, and two Minor League Baseball teams, including 17 seasons as the voice of the Asheville Tourists. Rick and Stacy, his wife of 17 years, currently reside in Charleston, SC.
